President Donald Trump has been accused of trying to divide Americans by the executive orders he has issued in recent days, the most notable of which is the Travel Ban, but now there are new claims that Trump is trying to divide America along the racial lines once again. According to a CNN article written by CNN's Brian Stelter, “White House officials” believe that “white men” have been targeted in this latest attempt at racial division. “They're trying to get them out of the way,” one official said of the new Travel Ban.
The writer asked the questioner who was targeted by this new policy, and they said, “a political strategist.” This was actually an off-the-record comment made by a high-ranking White House official to reporters. Another high-ranking official said that it was a “foolish” idea to target people based on their race. The comment from the “political strategist” concerned with the executive orders was made on the day when the order was signed. It was reported that the order is aimed at the Muslim population, which does include Arabs.
But why would someone believe that the White House would have a political strategist working with them to target “white men” based on their race? Well, let us take a closer look. In a recent CNN article by Brian Stelter, he stated;
“White House officials say they have hired a new political adviser to help keep the president on message. This new adviser is a former political operative who was at a time running a communications shop for a major party candidate.” He continued; “And this new communications person says the White House is taking its cues from her and has been coordinating with her on what messages to send out and who to communicate with at media events, among other places.” “This political adviser told me that she and the White House have been working on the travel ban and are concerned that people are misunderstanding it, she said, according to several sources I spoke to.”
So, this new political adviser does not believe the executive orders to be discriminatory and says the White House is working together with her on this latest “controversial” move. This will come as no surprise to many, if it is indeed true. One could only assume that the administration believes they can divide the population based on race and ethnicity, while not allowing anyone of any other faith to participate in this ban.
And since President Trump is targeting the Muslim population for a possible ban, this makes sense and we know he is right to do so. If I were to travel around the world today I would advise all people to take precautions, including making sure they do not come into contact with people who are from one of the six countries listed above, which includes Iran, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria, Somalia, and North Korea. And then ask them how they want to travel before departing.
